Long-term Rentals

There is a burgeoning long term rental market in the Greater Orlando/ Kissimmee area as a direct consequence of the conversion of rental apartments to condominiums and the foreclosure of homes.

As per Florida Law only a licensed real estate brokerage can offer long term property management. Long term management is any continuous rental for a period of more than 6 months. Almost all contracts are for a 12 month period and are renewable with 60 days advance notice.

Under this program the tenant will pay a monthly rent plus all utility bills. Typically the rental amounts range from $1000 - $1500 per month depending on the location and size of the property.

Key points for tenants are location to work, school zones and whether the owners allow pets on the premises.

Homes can be rented furnished or unfurnished. If a tenant is relocating typically they have their own furniture and are looking for an unfurnished home. If this is the case then furniture can be stored in a lock up for around $125 per month.
